在 Hacker News 阅读原文…th the real world, then I think we'll have made the final great breakthrough AI needs to become generally intelligent and useful. In terms of Daniel Kahneman's Thinking, Fast and Slow , LLMs currently use only System 1 thinking (equivalent to fast, pattern-matched decisions humans make). You can scale that up to trillions of parameters, but fundamentally it's still fancy scaled-up probabilistic pattern matching. Like humans, fast decisions made by AI here only can be justified/audited in retrospect. Integrated ontologies would move AI toward what Kahneman calls "System 2 thinking": slow, logical, systematic evaluation that is more auditable.
在 Hacker News 阅读原文…cious and unconscious are different, and the subconscious has it's own working memory that the conscious can't access. An interesting read is Daniel Kahneman's Thinking Fast and Slow that explains cognitive systems, 1 is subconscious and fast and the other is conscious and slow
在 Hacker News 阅读原文…ts of a pirated version or some old ancient printed version that have somehow gotten imported (no clue how or is there an actual legal way) I remember opening "thinking fast and slow" and noticing the weird paging. After checking the official version's page count and seeing how the version in my hand doesn't match, my best guess was that someone had printed a pirated epub version.
在 Hacker News 阅读原文From that list I've read three books: "A Brief History of Time", "Thinking, Fast and Slow", and "Capital in XXI Century". First two I've read from start to end. The last I didn't read to the end, I think I've read ~50% of it. My numbers correlate with that list, the least "readable" book in the list is the book I didn't read through. However I still doubt the methodology. It is not obvious for me that if a book was read in full, then highlights from it would be distributed uniformly all over the book.
